Tell us more about you and your blog
I started L&G back in 2011 after feeling super uncreative in my day job. I had recently graduated college and barely knew how to cook for myself so decided to try to learn and document along the way. Soon I was able to travel and became engaged so began incorporating travel and lifestyle into my content.
What people don’t realize about blogging is…
It takes more money to run a blog than you think! (hosting, security, scheduling apps, props, etc)
What are 3 things you wish you knew about blogging before you started?
- SEO
- Do not say yes to everything
- Under promise, over deliver
What’s been your most memorable moment as a blogger?
Being on a press tour of the freshly launched Walks of France tour of the Louvre in Paris. I felt so honored to be on the first ever France tour for this amazing company (new division of Walks of Italy) along with members of the French press and other travel writers.
Give us your best tip for maintaining a blog work/life balance
I am a big believer in a paper planner, it is always with me. Schedule it out and leave a buffer for when you are feeling stressed and need a break or life gets in the way.

Binge watching shows on Netflix like it is my job

A good eye-cream
What’s your most memorable trip or vacation?
Traveling with my mother to the small mountain village of Vasta, Greece to stay with my distant cousins. Getting to sleep in the house where my Great Grandfather grew up and having authentic homemade Greek food was surreal. Best trip ever!
What’s been your favorite post you’ve worked on?
My experience at Vignamaggio Estate in Tuscany, Italy. This place was stunning and full of history. You couldn’t take a bad picture if you tried.
We love our apps, which ones do you swear by for your business?
Google Analytics- is that weird? I love checking my traffic throughout the day even when I am not near a computer
