As a working mom, I know the struggles that we face to keep it all together. I am committed to providing valuable content to help working moms succeed…and maybe share a few fun outfits here and there.

How many years have you been blogging at Mrs. Make It Rainka?

10 but consistently since 2018.

Give us your best tip to staying on top of the blog/work/life balance?

Outsource! Your time is valuable, and there are many affordable ways to let other people work for you so you can do work that makes the most profit.

Consistency is the most important and most difficult part, but there are great tricks to stay consistent.

What are three things you wish you knew about blogging before you started?

  1. How to batch content
  2. How to promote content
  3. How to build an email list

What’s your favorite WordPress plugin?

SHK Hide Title so I can use my pretty font for each page.

What skills and qualities do you think are necessary for a successful and professional blogger?

Organization and ability to use time wisely.

What has blogging taught you/given you that no other career or job has before?

How to sell myself, which helps me in my “real” life.

What’s one piece of advice you would give to someone just starting out in the blog world?

Don’t worry about what everyone else is doing. Just be yourself.

Is there an app or business tool that you swear by?

Canva!

What is your main focus, blog or Instagram?

Blog.

What makes your brand different than other bloggers?

I take my offline, real world success and share it online.

What topic do you most enjoy writing about?

How to save time and money to accomplish your goals.

What would your dream partnership look like?

I would love to work with Lilly Pulitzer on an Mommy and Me with my son!

A current blogging goal you are working on?

I am working on being more consistent and hoping to post 2 posts weekly.

What does a typical workday for you look like?

I get up around 7 a.m. and I take my son to school every morning. Then start my day with a nice iced vanilla latte from my favorite coffee shop where I try to spend an hour working on my blog and other content creation. I get to my law office around 10 a.m. and work until about 4. I pick up my son from school and enjoy family time. We cook dinner and sit down as a family at 6:30 every night. We always watch the news together. My son goes to bed at 8:30. I try to do a few more things for work before I go to bed at 10:30. On the weekends, I try to get in an hour or so of content creation, but I mostly enjoy time with family.

What’s your most recent WIN with your blog?

Nearly 100 views in one day!

What is one thing in the blogging industry that frustrates you that you wish you could change?

The stereotypes. We are obviously all very different!

How has your content changed since you first started blogging at Mrs. Make It Rainka?

I try to lead with value moreso than before.

What’s your guilty pleasure TV show?

Bachelor in Paradise!

What do you have on for background noise when working?

I listen to Alpha Wave Bianural Beats!

What’s your favorite blogging memory or highlight?

Finishing my website with a look and feel that really reflects my personal brand.

What’s your Starbucks order?

Grand iced blonde almond milk latte with one Truvia

Who’s the most interesting person you’ve met in the blogging industry?

The GOOP team! I went to In Goop Health and it was amazing.

If you could do brunch with any blogger, who would it be?

Rachel Parcell and her sisters… I was sitting across from them in LA and had no idea who they were and now I am a big fan.
