I started my blog as a creative outlet from my career in education. It has evolved into a space where I share our travels, outfits, and home decor.
What people don’t realize about blogging is…
that it is so much more than taking photos and fun events
What are 3 things you wish you knew about blogging before you started?
The time, dedication, and patience that it takes to execute blog posts.
What’s been your most memorable moment as a blogger?
I pitched approximately 30 hotels in 2016 to kick start the travel aspect on my blog. I still remember how excited I was that the hotel agreed to work with me and two blogger friends. It’s still one of my favorite posts I’ve done!
Give us your best tip for maintaining a blog work/life balance?
I use a calendar and try to at least plan a shell of my posts.

Who is the most interesting person you’ve ever met?
I am tied with Vivian Howard from Chef and the Farmer and Ashley Christensen of Poole’s Diner. Both are North Carolina based chefs and have done amazing things for my state. They are not only talented chefs, but they are proud supporters of civic responsibility, their communities, and trail blazers.

What’s your most memorable trip or vacation?
For our first married Christmas, my husband and I decided to skip gifts and head to Washington D.C. We had the best time, and it’s still our favorite trip. It also started a new tradition where we go somewhere new every year for Christmas instead of exchanging gifts.

What’s been your favorite part of being a member of The Blog Societies?
Being accepted to TBS was on my blog goal list for 2 years. Then, I was fortunate enough to attend The Blog Societies Conference in Charleston. It was a game changer for me and I’ve seen great gains in my blog. The community is so amazing and supportive as well.
