Meet Kali of Kali Russell

Kali of Kali Russell Blog

Hey, what’s the name of your blog?

Hi I’m Kali and I write the blog, Kali Russell!

Where do you live?

I live in Dallas, Texas

Tell us more about you and your blog?

I want my blog to be a fun, honest space where I can be myself and others can feel like they relate! I am very spontaneous and outgoing, love to shop, travel, and spend time outdoors.

I handle just about every situation with humor and love to laugh! I blog about my fertility journey, travel adventures, and plan on sharing a little bit of fashion and life on our farm in Ohio as well!

How long have you been blogging for?

About a year

What does a typical work day look like for you?

I was a teacher previously, so I’m big on planners and checklists, meetings, creating lessons, collaborating with others, and entertaining/ teaching/ helping others! I feel my skills will perfectly translate, I just have to apply them.

Right now I get up early, take care of my dogs, check emails, then I have been spending a ton of time in free online trainings and reading other blogs and other content creator/manager/experts IG posts with advice.

While you cover a few topics on your blog, which do you enjoy the most to write about and why?

I love to write about travel!

Let’s daydream. What would your ultimate DREAM partnership look like?

I would LOVE to work with Sandals! We went for our honeymoon a few years ago and I couldn’t help thinking how incredible it would be to work with them. I would love to make Reels on things to do, showcase pictures from the resort, do Q&A stories, go live during some of the fun evening events, and would absolutely be open to other things they’re looking for that I could provide!

We love to speak our goals into existence. What’s a current goal you’re working on?

Growing a community and connecting with others! Consistency is an area of weakness for me.

Celebrating the wins, even if they’re little ones, is important. What’s your most recent win with your blog?

Getting blogs published and not second guessing them a million times.

What’s one thing in the industry that frustrates you that you wish you could change?

I want to be able to stand out and really grow, and not just fall into a category of just another wanna be blogger. I want others to feel like my content is relatable and that they get something from it! Whether it be a good laugh, feeling good about themselves, or travel inspo/tips.

How has your content evolved since you first started out? What would we see if we went back into the archives?

My confidence has grown a little bit, and I feel like I know now to make it more for others and not so “me” based.

We can’t work without a little background noise. What’s your go to?

Depends on the day. Typically some upbeat music- but occasionally a podcast if I’m not super focused on something I’m writing, or classical music if I’m in the zone.

What’s been your most favorite blogging memory to date?

When Shoutout Colorado magazine interviewed me after a blogpost I did on Estes Park/RMNP!

Okay, we’re grabbing a Starbucks for a coffee date, what are you ordering?

Iced Matcha Latte with Almond milk and raspberry syrup with cold foam! Or vanilla iced chai with almond milk.

We’re diving into podcasts lately, what’s a favorite of yours to learn more for your blog?

Creator Club, The Influence Community are two I’ve recently been listening to, but I listen to a ton on Spotify and watch a few on youtube!
