Hi Lisa! What’s the name of your blog.
Where are you from?
Berlin, Maryland.
Tell us a little bit more about you and your blog, Wear the Damn Boots!
Wear the Damn Boots is a lifestyle blog for the modern woman who is sick of second-guessing herself. It is a source of inspiration with a little bit of personal style, fashion finds, book recommendations, wellness, and so much more. It should leave you feeling like you just had coffee with your best friend.
Give us your best tip to staying on top of the blog/work/life balance?
My best tip is to plan out a month ahead and get yourself a great planner!
Fill in the blank. What people don’t realize about blogging is….
how much time and effort goes into it!
What are three things you wish you knew about blogging before you started?
I wish I knew more about affiliate links, SEO, and how to increase engagement.
What skills and qualities do you think are necessary for a successful and professional blogger?
The technical side of a blog is a big learning curve. You need some knowledge of how they work. The most important quality though is being able to connect with your audience and provide them with useful and high-quality content.
What has blogging taught you/given you that no other career or job has before?
It has taught me that I can do hard things all by myself. This is something I do all on my own and I don’t have a team of people helping me.
What’s one piece of advice you would give to someone just starting out in the blog world?
Research and learn. Read lots of articles, watch videos and reach out to other bloggers for support.
What does a typical work day for you look like? Whether you’re a full time blogger or not, we’d love to learn what your schedule looks like and how you manage it all.
I work full-time as a teacher, so most of my blog work happens early in the morning or on weekends. I try to plan a month out and prepare the content weekly.
