Tell us more about you and your blog?
Kaelya.com was founded as a way to leverage my passion for fashion to cope with chronic pain after an equine accident temporarily halted my professional riding career. Over the past year as I have made the transition back to riding full time, Kaelya.com has evolved as well and now features attainable equestrian style along with affordable fashion.
What people don’t realize about blogging is…
It provides a huge community of support from other bloggers!
What are 3 things you wish you knew about blogging before you started?
- It requires much more than styling a look.
- You need to be the web developer, social media coordinator, photo editor, marketing genius, (ETC!) and constantly do it all with a giant smile on your face!
- Your friends and family will get tired of you asking to take your pictures. If you find someone who isn’t, hang on to them for as long as possible!

What’s been your favorite part of being a member of The Blog Societies?
TBS has provided me with so many wonderful opportunities, but the best part is the supportive community it provides. I remember attending the conference in Charleston and being so nervous about not knowing anyone. Within 30 minutes I had met amazing women who turned into life long friends!
