Tell us more about you and your blog
I started my blog when I was in a rut at my job and in desperate need for a creative outlet. What started as a digital journal, slowly evolved into a lifestyle and food blog. Between my Denver City Guide, recipes, housing projects, travel recaps and stories about my two small children, South on Broadway has become a destination for daily inspiration.
What people don’t realize about blogging is…
There is a great community of inspiring, supportive + connected people who want to help raise you up.
What are 3 things you wish you knew about blogging before you started?
- Authenticity is so important.
- A lot of people buy their following and it’s hard to not be envious of the perceived success they have.
- Finding your voice takes some time but is worth the effort and time to do so.
What’s been your most memorable moment as a blogger?
I spent a day cooking a multi-course Spring Dinner with a fellow Denver food blogger that was then picked up by a top Colorado grocery chain. We got some great feedback but more than anything, I just loved how great the content, photography and recipes turned out. It was one of the most collaborative posts I had done and I am still incredibly proud of what we created.

What’s been your favorite post you’ve worked on?
I brought a group of girlfriends with me to visit a small mountain town a couple hours outside of Denver. It was the best staycation with my favorite people but it was also a mix of business and pleasure. I was visiting the hotel we stayed at, The Amigo Motor Lodge as part of my Denver City Guide. The weekend was insanely photogenic, the company was perfection and I got to feed my travel-bug.
