Where did the name come from?
I have always been asked by family and friends why I’m so dressed up or overdressed for casual events, and my response has always been that you can never be overdressed!

Tell us more about you and your blog
About 2 years ago, I started sharing my daily outfits on Instagram, which I loved. Once people started responding positively to these posts, I realized I wanted to be able to share more than just in that small square on IG. After researching how to start a blog, I finally bit the bullet and registered my domain and started creating my blog! I share not just fashion now, but lots of beauty, and travel experiences. I absolutely love having this creative piece in my life, as my 9-to-5 job is not creative at all!
What people don’t realize about blogging is…
It’s a lot of work! There is so much more that goes into blogging than people realize. Getting photos done and creating content takes a lot of thought and time. And you really have to focus on what your followers are interested in to make sure you are giving them content they want to see!
What are 3 things you wish you knew about blogging before you started?
1. How much support from others that I would need! I need someone to take my photos, and that’s a time commitment from them that they may not see the return on, except to just help me out (it’s usually my sister or boyfriend).
2. I didn’t know much about the technical things- maintaining a website, SEO, etc. I wish I knew more about those things beforehand- it would’ve made my start so make smoother!
3. In order to make a profit or a business out of blogging, you have to treat it like a job- sure, it is fun, but you have to commit a lot of time into your content in order to make it profitable.
What’s been your most memorable moment as a blogger?
It has been meeting other local bloggers and creatives for sure!
Give us your best tip for maintaining a blog work/life balance
I’m still trying to figure it all out, but what has been working for me is committing a certain amount of time to my blog each day and pre-planning out my content for the week.
