Tell us more about you and your blog

Something Good is a style and lifestyle blog that focuses on building a wardrobe that matches your lifestyle while maintaining your budget. Something Good was created as a DIY and recipe blog to give Dana a break from graduate school in 2012. It was relaunched as a style blog in 2013.

What people don’t realize about blogging is…

it’s a full time job on top of your full time job.

What are 3 things you wish you knew about blogging before you started?

  1. Start your blog on WordPress.
  2. Meet as many people as possible.
  3. Stay in your own lane and be who you are.

What’s been your most memorable moment as a blogger?

Getting to go to one of my first blogging events in DC and getting to finally meet in person all of these bloggers who I had talked to online.

Who is the most interesting person you’ve ever met?

Margaret Atwood – I can only hope that I’m that sharp and witty when I’m 78!

What is your guilty pleasure?

Frozen Custard (but I don’t feel guilty about it at all!)

What’s one product you can’t live without?

My Everlane backpack (I think it’s permanently attached to my back at this point).

What’s been your favorite part of being a member of The Blog Societies?

Without The Blog Societies I don’t know if I would have gotten the opportunity to meet as many amazing bloggers in the DC area or in the US as I have. I love that it’s given me the chance to feel like part of a community and that I’m not just one person sitting behind her computer.
