Tell us more about you and your blog
I started my blog as a creative outlet from my day job. I felt like I wasn’t using my degree (marketing) and that I had no experience in that arena and wanted it desperately. Personally, I love writing and fashion and I thought it would be a fun way to mix the two and give me the creativity I was longing for. I never expected it would grow into what it has or produce the results both in my career, online and in my personal life. I am constantly playing with ways to grow and be better with my blog.
What people don’t realize about blogging is…
how much time and energy goes into even the simplest of things.
What are 3 things you wish you knew about blogging before you started?
- How much time, energy, and money it would take.
- That there are several amazing groups and people are out there to help get you started (I did it on my own for the most part).
- How to use the platforms you already have to grow your blog and to take advantage of them. Personally, I did not, I started from scratch and felt like I was playing catch up.
What’s been your most memorable moment as a blogger?
Attending NYFW – Blogging has given me so many friends and opportunities I never would have had and NYFW was a big one!
Give us your best tip for maintaining a blog work/life balance
Make a weekly schedule for your blog including times for engaging, groups, and plan content in advance. Then stick to it. Don’t find yourself spending every free second doing blog things because then you will burn yourself out or produce content you later aren’t as proud of.

What’s one product you can’t live without?
Either a Book or a Camera – I love reading it helps to calm me down and ground me. I also love capturing moments in my life rather for the blog or personal.
What’s your most memorable trip or vacation?
A couple of years ago, I took a trip to Mexico with my parents. I have always wanted to scuba dive but never had anyone to go with me. I finally decided I would go alone and get certified to dive. It was one of the biggest growing moments in my life and has turned into a passion that I wouldn’t imagine not having experienced.
What’s been your favorite post you’ve worked on?
One of my favorite posts was actually a guest post but it was one of my first big blog posts. It helped me relive all of the awesome memories from past trips.
