I am Christina and I live in Alexandria Va. I am a lawyer, freelance writer, and content creator of Sharp and Sound Style. My blog is mostly about local lifestyle.

Making a schedule just like you might for a 9-5 career.
Fill in the blank. What people don’t realize about blogging is…
The consistent work needed to build and grow an audience
What are three things you wish you knew about blogging before you started?
- The time commitment
- Basic website knowledge
- How to build your fellow blogger network!
What skills and qualities do you think are necessary for a successful and professional blogger?
Consistency and a definite voice/niche.
What has blogging taught you that no other career or job has before?
Consistency is key!
What’s one piece of advice you would give to someone just starting out in the blog world?
Take it seriously but balance it with having fun and enjoying why you started!
What makes your brand, Sharp and Sound Style, different than other bloggers?
I provide a different perspective in my local area as a transplant who is constantly exploring the city and building within the community. I’m not focused so much on style, etc. but what makes the city I live and work in so much fun! So I like to feature little known areas, favorite restaurants, talk about the history of certain places, etc.
What topic do you most enjoy writing about?
Places that I visit within my area.
What would your dream partnership look like?
Target (because I shop there all of the time!)
What is a current blogging goal you are working on?
A more consistent look and better website; building a consistent audience.
What does a typical workday for you look like?
I’m an attorney full time so I mostly work my normal schedule during the week and focus on blogging and creating content on the weekends. I will schedule locations and places to shoot with my fiancé/or a pro photographer pre-Covid and the work on editing and writing a couple of posts for the week
What’s your most recent WIN with your blog?
Getting subscribers!
What is one thing in the blogging industry that frustrates you that you wish you could change?
I just started but I think a common issue I see is the larger and welcome collaborations work mainly with the same bloggers or mostly white bloggers. I would just change the ability for others to have more opportunities overall.
What’s your guilty pleasure TV show?
Real Housewives of Atlanta or Beverly Hills.
