Where did the name come from?
I am a mid-west girl that met a southern boy, fell in love, ended up moving to the south. So I am Settling Southern and starting a family.

I always wanted to go into the field of fashion, got excepted to fashion school in NYC but just didn’t feel like it was the right thing to do at the time. I ended up starting a blog to share the things that inspired me and to show how I loved styling outfits.
What people don’t realize about blogging is…
It is so time consuming
What’s one thing you wish you knew about blogging before you started
Go all in at first. I made it a hobby for the first little while and I have friends that went straight at it full time that have been able to do a lot more with it. If you love it then find a way to make it work and give it your all.
What’s been your most memorable moment as a blogger?
I think when I got paid for the first time and realized I could turn what I loved into a business. Now I am doing it full time.

I did a travel guide for my current hometown and it was great to be able to work with local companies and restaurants.
