What’s the name of your blog?
LouLou Sucre.
Where do you live?
Shreveport, Louisiana.
Tell us how you started your blog, LouLou Sucre, and what did it take to get where it is today?
I originally started LouLou Sucre as a way to share my favorite recipes with my family and friends. It has now gradually become a place for me to share recipes, entertaining ideas, my travels, and my favorite beauty products. I’ve found that posting on this blog inspires me beyond what I ever thought possible, pushing my boundaries, and has really helped me develop and grow my love for photography.
What’s been the hardest business lesson you’ve learned from blogging?
How much time and money is required when you really are committed to your blog. Also, save those receipts.

What does a typical workday for you look like?
My day starts pretty early, at around 6 a.m. I start seeing patients around 8:30 a.m. until around 3-3:30 p.m. I usually go to Pilates at 4 p.m. 2-3 times a week or attend other appointments in the afternoon. I’m home around 5:30-6 p.m. most evenings and cook dinner 2-3 times a week. I usually spend most evening writing blog posts, planning social media posts, or searching the web. I tend to go to bed around 10 p.m. each weeknight (after getting a little reading in).
What’s one piece of advice you would give to someone just starting out in the blog world?
Take your time and find your passion. Blogging is fun, but definitely a lot of hard work. Also, work, work, work on your photography.
What do you think the blogging industry will look like in 5 years?
I think that most bloggers will only have Instagram pages, which I hope doesn’t happen. I love reading entire blog posts and checking out other blogs. I think a blog says a lot about the person writing it. I love to see their individual style on an entire blog versus a single photo.
What’s been your favorite project, or post you’ve worked on?
My favorite post ever is about A Wine, Cheese, & Chocolate Tasting. It was so much fun to prepare the tasting ingredients and it was extra special since it was to celebrate a few of my best friend’s birthdays.

How do you stay inspired? And where do you find inspiration?
Most of my inspiration comes from our travels and trying out new restaurants. I love trying new foods and cocktails.
How has blogging helped you in your day to day life or 9-5 life?
My 9-5 is a completely different field, but I’ve definitely become more organized and detail-oriented in both endeavors.
Do you consider yourself a blogger or influencer?
I consider myself a blogger. When I started blogging I had never even heard of influencers. My primary focus is on food and cocktails and I love writing about these on my blog. I’m sure that I often influence people to make certain things or try certain products. I hope that they try them or make them based on how delicious the food looks or if they have trusted my advice in the past.
Which social media platform do you wish you knew more about or spent more time on?
I don’t understand Snapchat at all, but am not sure that I want to spend more time on it. I’m learning more about Instagram and stories all the time and it’s probably my favorite.

If you were stranded on a deserted island, what’s the one cocktail you would bring with you to enjoy for the rest of time?
I’m definitely a margarita addict, but I’m sure that I might get tired of margaritas every day. I choose champagne!
What’s your favorite blogging hack or trick?
I do most of my blogging (cooking, photographing, and editing) on the weekends. I can plan all week what I’m going to post. Since most everything is done, I can devote my limited time during the week to posting on my blog and social media.
