Last weekend, co-founders Cathy and Jessica, hosted the first ever, The Workshop. A 4.5 hour event held at St. Cecilia with 2o bloggers all the way from Houston, Charlotte and right here in Atlanta.
This event was one we wanted to do the moment we finished our workshops at #TBScon this past August. We quickly realized that intimate sessions with bloggers with an honest discussion on blogging was exactly what we all needed. Our workshop at #TBScon was all about pricing and negotiating plus a few tips on when to know you’re ready to go from part time blogger to full time. We expanded on these topics by going through the entire life cycle of a sponsored post from start to finish. From finding the right public relations contacts, drafting the perfect pitch email, to contracts, negotiating and more. Attendees left with tangible tools for their business as well as templates to create their very own essential documents and contracts for their brand.
The Workshop wouldn’t be complete without amazing food and of course, a swag bag. This event felt very similar to our first ever brunch we held nearly 4 years ago in Atlanta with just 12 other members. It was exciting to see the evolution of The Blog Societies and how bloggers helping bloggers is what makes this community so incredible. We loved meeting some new people from the blog world and some who are just looking to start their blog.
