Where did the name come from?
I’m constantly running from one social thing to another and I realized that the phrase ‘man about town’ fit my description. So I changed the wording just a little bit and The Lady About Town was born.

Tell us more about you and your blog
My blog is all about fashion and travel. I started my blog 7 years ago to document my daily life and out of discovering other bloggers, I discovered my love of fashion. I decided to focus solely on this and then incorporated travel into my blog in the last year. I want my blog to inspire other women to try styles they may not have worn before and to create a resource they can come to with questions.
What people don’t realize about blogging is…
It takes passion! And lots of time and patience, if you want it done right.
What are 3 things you wish you knew about blogging before you started?
- How much I would love it later on
- How much I wish I had poured more into it at the beginning.
- Wish I had known what topic to write about before hand.
What’s been your most memorable moment as a blogger?
Getting my first email, asking me to collaborate. Her name was Michelle and I remember that because that’s my middle name. She was so kind and made my first collaboration so much fun!
Give us your best tip for maintaining a blog work/life balance
Don’t procrastinate! If you can do it right now, do it. Things will only pile up if you put them off.

Binge watching a favorite tv show.
What’s one product you can’t live without?
Mascara! It’s the only makeup product I can’t go without.
What’s your most memorable trip or vacation?
I recently took a trip last fall to the Smoky Mountains. That place holds a special significance, since I used to go there as a child. It was so awesome seeing all the places I had been to before through adult eyes.
