Tell us more about you and your blog
I started my blog as a college freshman as a way to share my fashion on a budget and to document life out of state at my new school. It has evolved over the past 5 years into a place for me to share my colorful, preppy and bright style (still on a budget!), my travel destinations, my faith and personal thoughts, and my career in the broadcasting world.
What people don’t realize about blogging is…
You can meet your best friends through it!
What are 3 things you wish you knew about blogging before you started?
- Consistency with posting is key
- I wish I had a separate Instagram for blogging much sooner than I did (I used my personal one for the first two years)
- Sponsored collaborations take time to secure!
What’s been your most memorable moment as a blogger?
Having a hotel that I had collaborated with in Charlotte, NC (my former home) offer to host my going away party when I moved last year!
Give us your best tip for maintaining a blog work/life balance?
Schedule at least 2 hours a day either before or after work for catching up on emails, writing posts, and engaging on Instagram.
