How long have you been blogging for?
Since 2018.
What people don’t realize about blogging is…
It involves wearing so many different hats! In addition to the actual content topic, bloggers become SEO experts, marketing mavens, and tech-savvy entrepreneurs.
Give us your best tip for maintaining a blog work/life balance.
Do the hard things first – each and every day.
What are 3 things you wish you knew about blogging before you started?
There are so many! If I had to narrow down to three, I’d say a good site structure is imperative, it’s never too early to create good systems, and choose a site theme wisely.
What does a typical work day look like for you?
As a single mom, I wake up early! I start working at 5 and tackle my high impact, important projects first. I take a break to get my boys ready for school, workout, and get ready for the day. I have another full time remote position that I weave in throughout the day.
Working in blocks – batching tasks to increase productivity. I wrap things up when my boys return home, though I sneak in work sessions during soccer practices. It’s a busy life and I try to also make time to walk, play, and meet up with friends.
We love a good plugin, what’s your favorite one and how has it helped your business?
Yoast – the plugin for SEO makes it easy to set up pages appropriately.
What skills and qualities do you think are necessary for a successful and professional influencer?
Since so much of blogging is completely independent, I think discipline and a strong work ethic are imperative to success.
What has blogging taught you that no other career or job has before?
Blogging provides me an opportunity to not only have a flexible schedule but to also allow my creativity to really shine.

Give us the inside scoop, is there an app or tool that you swear by?
I swear by Convertkit for email marketing.
Let’s daydream. What would your ultimate DREAM partnership look like?
I would love an opportunity to style products for a home decor related brand and showcase the items in an authentic and natural way. Without restrictions on story frames or links, I’d love to really highlight a home product and offer that content in a really meaningful way.
We love to speak our goals into existence. What’s a current goal you’re working on?
In addition to updating older posts, I am focused on provided services related to my blog content.
How has your content evolved since you first started out? What would we see if we went back into the archives?
I focus much more on the value I can offer my readers. I write less about my personal life and provide more specific tips & strategies. Though I do include some good anecdotes and humor for good measure!
What’s been your most favorite blogging memory to date?
One of my posts, a remodel that was both challenging and spontaneous, was featured in Apartment Therapy.
