Tell us more about you and your blog
I started my blog as a creative outlet when I decided to stay at home with my boy full time. It has been a great way to connect with other incredibly talented women, as well as to have something fun that I get to do for myself to be proud of (other than my family of course!).
What people don’t realize about blogging is…
There is a lot of work that goes on behind the scenes. It is fun work, but hours of work can go into just one blog post!
What are 3 things you wish you knew about blogging before you started?
- It is very time consuming
- There are a ton of other people trying to be successful at it as well, so make sure you don’t compare yourself to everyone else’s journey
- Don’t be afraid of hearing or saying “no”
What’s been your most memorable moment as a blogger?
My bother is a photographer, so anytime we get to shoot together for my blog it is so special to have our two worlds collide.
Give us your best tip for maintaining a blog work/life balance
It is so important to plan out your week ahead of time. It makes it so much easier if you put in a few hours on the weekend (or nap time in my case). This way you have posts and content scheduled at your peak times of engagement throughout the week. I have had to learn that life happens and you can’t get everything organized the way you would like. So if I get off one week, I try not to stress out about it, but just get back on track the next week!
